Last month we celebrated Vesak day. Vesak is a Buddhist religious celebration focusing on the Buddhas birth, his attainment of Enlightenment, and his passing into Nirvana at the end of his life. On this day, we do Religious programs, activities and events in temples. During all of these activities we do not forget to decorate our homes, streets and everywhere with colorful lights and lanterns. Vesak lanterns are one of the main and popular decoration. We made 3 lanterns for this vesak and hanged them around our house. And I made a crochet applique of vesak lantern.
