This is the last and 4th pattern of Sugar Candy Stripes theme I shared with you. The series started with a newborn baby hat and then baby booties. The most popular pattern was the baby dress or it can be called as a sweater if you add sleeves.
Now you can make a darling baby set with these four patterns !!!
Don’t forget to add this pattern to Ravelry queue.
Crochet multiple of 8 + 7 chains for larger size. Change color every 2 rows. Carry up each color when it need, so no need to break the yarns, it will be covered up when crocheting border. I worked 3 sc rows around the blanket for border part. I added chart of the stitch pattern of the blanket to understand easily.
23.5” x 19.5” with border.

Row 1: dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next ch 2, * ch 3, sk one ch, sc in next ch 3, ch 3, sk one ch, dc in next ch 3 * repeat *to* across, dc in last st, Turn.

Last row (66): ch 1 with same color you used in previous row, *sc in next 3 sts, ch 1, sk next ch 3, 3 dc in next ch-3 space, ch 1 * repeat *to* across, sc in beg ch 3.
Border : crochet sc around evenly. 3 sc in each corner st. when you working sides. work 2 sc in one dc, 1 sc in sc, however, if it going to be tighter, you can add extra st in after 2 or 3 rows. After crocheting 3 sc rows, I worked slip st round.
Round 1: with color B
Round 2: with color A
Round 3 with color B again.
Round 4: With color B *insert the hook in next st pull up a loop through the work and the loop on the hook at once* repeat *to* around. Fasten off and weave the end.
I have done another round in border to get an extra nice look. You can try it if you like. Very simple. Do not fasten off when you finished last row of the border. crochet *ch 3, sk one st and sl st to next st* repeat *to* across.
