Have you ever ripped out your crochet projects?? Perhaps your answer is Yes.. or always.. or sometimes… I know you can’t say never. Here is my second answer. Have you ever made crochet ripped out NOODLES… See the photo below. You can see it yourself.
If you remember, I made 3 samples of Basic hdc Beanie with 3rd loop striped edge in 3 sizes. I crocheted that beanie with two strands of sport weight yarn. Click here to go to the pattern.
I had to rip out one of that beanie to reuse the yarns for my design experiments,. Then I began to rip out the beanie and the yarn piled on my bed just like noodles. I screamed… WOW NOODLES… One of my favorite meal I like to eat.
I had a fun idea…
So I made a dish of mixed vegetable noodles with fried egg. I added crocheted leaves as a garnish… hmm… my thought is it like a green onion garnish…
How I did it.
I placed the ripped out yellow yarn on a plate (you can use white color ripped out yarn as well). Just like a noodle. Then cut 1 cm long pieces in orange and green color yarn as a sliced of carrot and beans. Spread them on noodles.
It’s simple. I crocheted flat circle. First round 6 with golden yellow color and another six round with white color. Pink Mombo has a helpful tutorial about How to crochet flat circles in Continues rounds. Click here.
I crocheted chains about 3” long and started with sc, hdc and dc stitches for last. Again short or long chain stiches, worked sc, hdc, dc stitches. I repeated 5 - 6 times like this and fasten off. Roll it and stuck in noodles.
Tadaa.. A dish of fried noodles with a fried egg is ready to serve..
